A 1:1 BTaP consultation aims to reassure, inspire and build confidence by exploring play, communication and interaction between you and your child. This will include trying out new ideas and approaches as well as highlighting and developing the many things that are already going well in the relationship. Debbie weaves child development with attachment science and uses her psychoanalytic training to observe and think together with the family.

You might want to have some sessions to discuss specific behaviour or issues you are finding difficult to understand and respond to. BTaP sessions aim to help you think through what might be happening and why your child might behave in a certain way as well as agree some possible responses to this behaviour. If after some BTaP sessions it is felt that further more specialist support would be beneficial then further contacts will be provided.
A minimum of two sessions is recommended.
